📣 The Vault Opens Today

Vesuvan Doppelganger (beta) — Near Mint +
In 1993, Twilight Comics opened its doors, and almost immediately, Magic: the Gathering became part of who we were. Some of you remember opening packs of Revised and Antiquities at our first counter. Some of you traded in Alpha rares across folding tables. Some of you built your first deck here.
So did we.
Over the decades, Shannon and I held onto pieces of that history — decks we loved, cards we couldn’t part with, and pulls that meant more than money. We stored many of them away. In binders. In tubs. In boxes we didn’t touch for years.
The last time we accessed this collection was 2015. Until now.
Today, we’re unveiling the Twilight Vault Collection — a curated archive of cards from Alpha to 2014, pulled from decades of personal history.
🔹 Original dual lands
🔹 Alpha and Beta cards
🔹 Infamous Holiday promos
🔹 Deck pieces we played with — and played hard
🔹 Unique wear patterns that tell stories
Some cards are pristine. Some bear faint indentations in their text boxes — Shannon’s subtle signature from games long past. Some were centerpieces of decks that won… sometimes. Others, like our Unlimited Lich, were part of combos that worked once and never again.
All of them carry meaning. And all of them are now available: graded (not slabbed—I am a professional, after all) , clearly labeled, and displayed right here at Twilight Comics.
🛡️ Vault-tier cards are secured off-site nightly.
💵 10% off all Vault items with in-store cash.
📍 Available in-store only. No holds.
Whether you’re a collector, a player, or someone who remembers what Magic used to feel like, this is your chance to hold that history again.
Come see what 30 years of Magic looks like— before it disappears into someone else’s binder.
✨ Introducing the Twilight Comics Vault Collection ✨
A once-sealed archive of iconic Magic: the Gathering cards, now available—in store only!
This is your key to decipher how we do it!
The red circles show examples of minor defects. TCG Player grading definitions seemed too broad to account for grading subtleties (NM, LP, MP, HP, DMG). Twilight Comics provides in-between grades for better precision (NM, NM/LP, LP, LP/MP, MP, MP/HP, HP, DMG). We have honed the percentage of NM value accordingly; NM—100%, NM/LP—94%, LP—88%, LP/MP—84.5%, MP—81%, MP/HP—70.5%, HP—60%, DMG—40%. This is the Twilight Comics Hybrid Pricing Model used for the Vault Collection (and all cards we carry moving forward)! We have also taken into account local competition prices and discounted a further ~10% PLUS an additional 10% discount for cash transactions!
