Sell your comics to Twilight Comics

Sell Comic Books Near St. Louis

Looking to sell comic books near St. Louis or the Metro East? Twilight Comics is located in Swansea, Illinois, and has been part of the local comics community since 1993. We regularly hear from people in Swansea, Belleville, Fairview Heights, O’Fallon, Shiloh, Collinsville, Edwardsville, and nearby St. Louis-area communities who have comics they are thinking about selling. Some are longtime collectors. Some are clearing space. Some inherited a collection and are not sure where to begin. Wherever you are starting from, the first step is simple: tell us what you have.

A Local Place to Start

Selling a comic collection can feel uncertain, especially if you are not a collector yourself. Twilight Comics is not an anonymous online buyer or a temporary pop-up operation. We are a brick-and-mortar comic shop with a public location, regular hours, and decades of experience working with comic collections.

In the early days, before Twilight Comics became the established storefront it is today, Brian occasionally traveled to storage units and estate sales while managing Fantasy Books in Collinsville. Over time, the store itself became the place where most collection evaluations begin.

A physical storefront gives sellers a known place to contact, visit, and return to. It also gives us a better chance to review collections carefully instead of rushing through a conversation in a driveway, parking lot, or online message thread.

Serving the Metro East and St. Louis Area

Twilight Comics is located in Swansea, Illinois, a short drive from many Metro East communities and accessible from the greater St. Louis area.

People contact us from throughout the area, including Swansea, Belleville, Fairview Heights, O’Fallon, Shiloh, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Caseyville, Millstadt, Mascoutah, East St. Louis, and nearby Missouri communities.

Start With the Collection Form

The best first step is to complete our Selling Your Collection Form. The form helps us understand approximately how many comics or related items you have, what types of items are included, and whether there are specific books, characters, or series we should know about.

This helps save time for everyone. In some cases, we may ask for photos before asking you to bring anything in. In other cases, we may let you know that the collection does not sound like a good fit for us at this time.

Before You Bring a Large Collection

A few comics or a small box may be simple to discuss in person. A large collection is different.

If you have multiple boxes, long boxes, storage totes, or an estate collection, please start with the form before bringing everything to the store. Space is limited, and larger evaluations may need to be planned in advance.

Not Sure What You Have?

That is common. Many people who contact us are not sure whether their comics are valuable, common, complete, damaged, collectible, or worth selling at all. You do not need to know all of that before reaching out.

Just provide the best information you can. Clear photos of the boxes, a small sample of the comics, and any older or unusual-looking books are usually more useful than a long typed list.
